World exhibition 1958

Expo 58 was the World's Fair held in the Belgian capital of Brussels from April 17 to October 19, 1958. The official motto was "Work of the world - for a human world". In keeping with this, the two new technologies of the future, space travel and nuclear power, were presented to a broad public for the first time.

Apollo 11

Apollo 11 was the first manned space mission with a moon landing. It was the fifth manned flight of the Apollo program of the U.S. space agency NASA. The mission was successful and achieved the national goal set by U.S. President John F. Kennedy in 1961 of getting a man to the moon and safely back to Earth before the end of the decade.
